Fergie Baby is a rapper from Harlem, New York, on TikTok as @fergiebabyyy. He's signed to EMPIRE, and before the walk went viral he was already known Uptown for "Good Day to be in Harlem". On 26 September 2026 he posted a TikTok of himself stepping out of a ballfield gate in a New York park and rapping his way down the path toward the camera. That clip became the Fergie Baby trend.

• Harlem, first and last. He grew up in Harlem, into fashion and sports, and his music is about Uptown.
• Promoter before rapper. He threw parties from a young age, and started rapping in 2018.
• Basketball and a day job. He played basketball at Penn State Hazleton and studied criminal justice, and worked in the legal sector before music.
• From the studio to a deal. He got a job as a studio assistant at EMPIRE, and the label signed him; the deal was announced in February 2025.

• "Bleachers", his debut single.
• "Suburbans" (2022) and "TRUEYS, BBs, and CANES" (2024), which both went viral.
• "Don't Tell Me (9 to 5)", about quitting the workforce.
• Harlem River Drive (February 2025), a 15-track project.
• "Good Day to be in Harlem", his breakout, a Harlem version of Ice Cube's "It Was a Good Day". It first appeared on Summer League Series, Vol. 1 in July 2025. The remix with FERG came out in early 2026, with a video shot in Harlem and directed by Dre Hartwell (FM Hip Hop). Fergie Baby called it "the new Harlem anthem".

Is Fergie Baby the same as A$AP Ferg?

No. They're two different rappers. FERG, who used to go by A$AP Ferg, is also from Harlem and features on the remix of Fergie Baby's "Good Day to be in Harlem". Fergie Baby also made his acting debut in FERG's short film FLIP PHONE SHORTY. Similar names, same neighbourhood, two artists.

How the walk became a trend

The original is one handheld shot: Fergie Baby walks across a ballfield, swings through the chain-link gate and swaggers down a park path toward a camera that keeps backing away, rapping the whole way.
